My Story
I grew up singing. If there wasn’t music playing around the house, I’d make up my own. I was enrolled in piano and voice lessons at a very young age and also performing in a local community theater in San Diego and I loved it; I felt that among fellow artists I had found my community.
I went on to study opera + musical theater at the University of Miami for my Undergrad and started working in the arts immediately after.

As a performer, I wore many hats. I worked in musical theater, the NYC choral circuit, cruise ship headliners, wedding bands, corporate party bands, orchestral singing, self-produced cabaret series, as well television specials for PBS.

In regard to my vocal technique, everything worked until it didn’t.

I started noticing I couldn’t “belt” the way I used to, I was also tiring out on gigs and running out of steam for things that used to be easy for me. The classical voice training I received was not serving me on the commercial styles I was performing.
This led me to Shenandoah University where I I took a deep dive into the nouances of training Contemporary Commerical Music (CCM) styles.
I learned the freedom of science based, functional voice training specific to pop, rock, r&b, folk and musical theater styles. These new tools have unlocked new freedoms for me and I can’t wait to share them with you!
